Social Worker

Zoe joined our team as a Social Worker in August 2022. She was immediately drawn to the unique atmosphere and strength-based programming Nova’s Ark provides during her internship in 2021. Zoe continued to volunteer as her passion and dedication of working with our families grew.

Zoe supports various individuals to enhance social communication and self-determination through a strength-based, trauma-informed lens. As a key member of our Registered Clinical Therapist team, Zoe incorporates “Out of the Box” tools during individual and small group counselling. This person-centred knowledge base provides a foundation for effective interventions, contributing to positive outcomes for individuals and promoting mental health and well-being. In doing so, Zoe is working with individuals to develop positive coping strategies, self-confidence, and independence, to build upon their resilience, improve their mental health and allow them to enjoy daily life. Zoe ensures that family members are provided with support for their needs as a unit and how to collaborate on the best needs of the individual.

From the moment our son started attending Novas Ark, we felt such positivity, hope and inspiration. Everyone in the Nova’s Ark family has been so caring and accepting of our whole family.
